Jeff Sedrel is an artist based in Omaha. His larger body of work could be academically described as existing somewhere between impressionism and abstract expressionism. Loose, bold brushstrokes define the work in either case. Flowers, abstracted and otherwise, have been a main theme in recent work. 

Showing at Family of Things is mostly pocket-sized ink brush works based on localized scenes involving people, places, and flowers. The show also includes a few cyanotypes. The artist has regularly shown in solo and group shows, and is in multiple private collections.
