Sturdy cast iron paperweight designed by Hisanori Masuda, from well-known Japanese iron maker, Sumitani Saburo Shoten. The whitish spots on the surface are called "white rust", a common finishing technique to give the surface character. Wipe clean with dry or slightly damp cloth.
