Nambu Cast Iron

Japanese Cast Iron Hammer Bottle Opener

Designed by Tadahiro Baba, an expert nambu tekki (cast iron) craftsman. The craft of nambu tekki dates back to mid 17th century Japan. The black color is derived from a lacquer glaze called urushi, which craftsmen use to prevent rusting on the iron pieces.

Hand wash, dry with a soft cloth.

Other Japanese cast iron bottle openers in our collection include this classic shape, and the owl.
